Body Language in Rope: Workshop & Play Party

  • Daruma Neukölln, Berlin (map)

Rope bondage, a cornerstone of BDSM, captivates many with its intricate beauty and profound intimacy. While the technical aspects of rope play are often emphasized, it's crucial to remember the deeper connection and intentions behind each tie. This workshop invites you to rediscover the essence of rope bondage, focusing on the powerful language of the body.

In this immersive Workshop, we will explore how body language can transform the dynamics of shibari play, enhancing the experience for both you and your partner. Understanding your partner's non-verbal cues will guide your play, fostering a deeper connection and mutual understanding.

Shibari is much more than technique; it’s an art where every breath, touch, and movement shapes the mood and intensity of the scene. Learn how to be present, how to read your partner's signals, and how to use your own body language to create a more fulfilling and intimate experience.

What you will learn:

  • The impact of body language in rope play

  • Techniques to enhance your play through mindful movements

  • How to read and respond to your partner's non-verbal cues

  • Creating an immersive and intimate play setting

Join us for an exploration of the subtleties that make rope bondage a deeply personal and transformative practice. Let’s build a deeper connection together.

After the workshop, we’ll take a break to grab a bite (bring a dish for everyone to share!) and change into our play outfits. Starting at 6:30 PM, we’ll open the space for three hours to practice the skills we've learned and collaborate with other participants in the form of a play party. During this time, feel free to extend your play into other areas of BDSM. If you plan to use additional toys, please bring them along, including any safer sex materials for you and your partner.

  • The workshop will utilise a few very basic rope skills: single and double column tie and basic understanding of counter tension.
If you are an absolute beginner to rope, you are welcome to arrive at 12.30 pm for a class on these basic skills.

  • We recommend comfortable clothes that are easy to move in for the workshop.

Bring a change of clothes for the play party, and a dish that everyone can share for the potluck dinner!

Bring ropes if you have some – there will be some available to borrow or buy if you don’t have your own.

  • 12.30pm – If you are an absolute beginner to rope bondage, please arrive now for a short introduction and to learn a couple of basic skills.

2pm – Body Language in Rope Workshop (there will be a 15 minute break at approx 3.30pm)

5pm – Break time. Everyone can share a pot luck dinner in the space

6.30pm – Free Flow play party!
